Type:— MADAGASCAR. Central Madagascar, [Reverend R.] Baron 4306 (holotype, Herb. K barcode K000232822!).

Nomenclatural notes:—The nomenclature of K. laxiflora was dealt with by Smith & Figueiredo (2019: 122).

Taxonomic notes:—The name K. laxiflora is in use for an accepted species. The taxonomy of K. laxiflora was treated by Smith & Figueiredo (2019: 118–123). Kalanchoe laxiflora is included in K. [subg. Bryophyllum ] sect. Invasores Shtein & Smith (2021: 105). Shtein & Smith (2021: 105–107) discussed the taxonomy of, and taxa at present included in, this section.
