Type host: cattle

Current status: Walker et al. (2000) listed Rhipicephalus cuneatus as a probable synonym of Rhipicephalus ziemanni , but Camicas et al. (1998) and Guglielmone & Nava (2014) treated Rhipicephalus cuneatus as a synonym of Rhipicephalus aurantiacus , a position maintained here.
