Type locality: El Prado, Madrid, Spain

Type host: Oryctolagus cuniculus

Current status: a synonym of Haemaphysalis hispanica and its original name ( Hoogstraal & Morel 1970). The current status of Haemaphysalis campanulata hispanica , as Haemphysalis hispanica , was also provided by Gil Collado (1948).

Comments: Hoogstraal & Morel (1970) listed these specimens as deposited in the CGC, but Guglielmone et al. (2014) stated that the CGC is held in the FF.
