Type depository: SAIMR: syntypes (males) ( Walker et al. 2000)

Type locality: “Lissenji” (?) [sic], Central Africa ( Zumpt 1950)

Type host: Syncerus caffer

Comments: Hoogstraal (1956a) noted that the name of the type locality may be a misspelling of Kisenyi, which is actually a locality in Rwanda.
