Type host: Isoodon macrourus
Comments: a male paralectotype of Haemaphysalis humerosa was said to have been sent to the USNPC ( Keirans & Brewster 1981) in 1909, but this specimen is not included in the list of that collection´s types by Salley et al. (1978).
