Type host: dog

Current status: a synonym of Hyalomma brevipunctatum and its original name ( Camicas et al. 1998, Apanaskevich et al. 2009) as Hyalomma brevipunctata . The current status of Hyalomma hussaini brevipunctata , as Haemaphysalis brevipunctatum , was established by Nagar (1963), also under the name Hyalomma brevipunctata .
