Current status: a synonym of Amblyomma testudinarium ( Anastos 1950, Camicas et al. 1998).
Comments: In their list of ZMB types, Moritz & Fischer (1981) did not recognize the presence of a type specimen of Amblyomma infestum taivanicum .
