Type depository: ZMB: syntypes (a male and a female) ( Moritz & Fischer 1981)

Type locality: “Bintang, Hinterindien”, but Bintan Island , Indonesia, according to Anastos (1950) .

Type host: not stated

Current status: a synonym of Amblyomma testudinarium ( Guglielmone & Nava 2014) .
