Type locality: Guernsey , Channel Islands , Great Britain

Type host: Arvicola terrestris

Current status: a synonym of Ixodes acuminatus ( Camicas et al. 1998, Keirans & Hillyard 2001).

Comments: Arthur (1955) listed Evotomys glareolus as the type host of Ixodes guernseyensis , but Keirans & Hillyard (2001) found that host to be incorrect.
