Warburton, C. (1933) On five new species of ticks ( Arachnida Ixodoidea). Type depository: BMNH: a lectotype (male) and paralectotypes (males and females) were designated by Keirans & Brewster (1981)
Type locality: Komodo Island , Indonesia
Type host: Varanus komodoensis
Current status: a synonym of Amblyomma komodoense ( Guglielmone & Nava 2014) .
