Type locality: Shantou , China

Type host: Zamenis mucosus

Current status: a synonym of Amblyomma pattoni ( Kaufman 1972, Camicas et al. 1998).

Comments: according to the original description, the holotype was to be transferred to the ZMB, but Aponomma pseudolaeve is not included in the ZMB type catalog by Moritz & Fischer (1981). Teng & Jiang (1991) and Sun et al. (2016) considered Amblyomma pseudolaeve valid.
