Nuttall, G.H.F. & Warburton, C. (1911) Ticks. In: A monograph of the Ixodoidea. Part II. The Ixodidae . Section II. Genus I. Ixodes Latreille 1795 . Cambridge University Press, London, pp. 133–293 + 346–348.
Type depository: ENV: syntypes (females and nymphs)
Type locality: New Zealand
Type host: not stated
Current status: a synonym of Ixodes eudyptidis ( Heath & Palma 2017) .
Comments: Nuttall & Warburton (1911) regarded the redescription of Ixodes eudyptidis by Neumann (1899) as belonging to a new species that was described under the name Ixodes neumanni . However, that decision was unjustified, as discussed in Heath & Palma (2017), and Ixodes neumanni is currently considered a synonym of Ixodes eudyptidis .
