Type depository: USNTC: holotype (male) and paratypes (males and females), MCZ: paratype (a female)
Type locality: Mayfield , Idaho, USA
Type host: Marmota sp.
Comments: the holotype was reared from immature stages collected from the type host. According to Keirans & Clifford (1978) the holotype is missing, but Keirans & Clifford (1984) listed the holotype as held in USNTC.
