Type depositories: USNTC: holotype (male) and paratypes (males, females, nymphs and larvae) ; BMNH, FMNH?, MNHN , OVI and SAIMR (males, females, nymphs and larvae)

Type locality: Mafikeng , Province of North West, South Africa

Type host: Cynictis penicillata

Comments: IR visited the FMNH in 2024 and the paratypes were not found there.
