uriae White, 1852 View in CoL , Ixodes
White, A. (1852) Insects and Aptera. In: Journal of the voyage in Baffin’s Bay and Barrow Straits, in the years 1850–1851, 2 (Appendix), 208–211.
Type depository: undetermined: syntypes (females)
Type locality: Arctic regions
Type host: Uria troile
Comments: Arthur (1965, page 336) stated that a male and a female constituting the types of Ixodes uriae are deposited in the MNHN? [sic]. However, White (1852) described the female but not the male of Ixodes uriae ; therefore, it is postulated here that the depository of the type specimens of this species remains undetermined.
