Type depositories: USNTC: holotype (female) and paratypes (males, females and nymphs); CT, DEP and MCZ: paratypes (males, females and nymphs)

Type locality: Comontoso , Guanajuato, Mexico

Type host: hare

Comments: no paratypes were found in the MCZ ( Keirans & Clifford 1978). KLC, IR and RGR visited the MCZ in 2024 and the paratypes were not found there.
