Comments: Robinson (1926) said that a “ type ” (unspecified developmental stage) had been deposited in the USNTC, but no specimens of Amblyomma tuberculatum are included in the catalog of USNTC types by Keirans & Clifford (1984), and Marx (1894 in Hubbard 1894) did not include a type depository for the two ticks used to describe this species.
