Comments: Keirans & Clifford (1984) did not specify the developmental stage of the lectotype of Haemaphysalis sundrai View in CoL , but this species was described from three female ticks suntzovi Kolonin, 1993 , Haemaphysalis

Type host: Hystrix brachyuran
Comments: it is uncertain in Kolonin (1993, page 997) whether the Haemaphysalis suntzovi deposited at the BMNH and USNTC are paratypes or voucher specimens.
