Type locality: Harrison Bay , New Westminster District, British Columbia, Canada ( Robbins & Keirans 1992) Type host: Sorex sp.
Comments: paratype specimens of Ixodes soricis in the USNTC are considered lost in Keirans & Clifford (1978) .
