scientific name

Callitriche palustris L.
status

Callitriche androgyna Linnaeus , Centuria I Plantarum: 31. 1755.

"Habitat in Europae fossis, vere florens." RCN: 32.

Lectotype (Lansdown & Jarvis in Taxon 53: 170. 2004): Herb. Linn. No. 13.1, three lower specimens ( LINN) .

Current name: Callitriche palustris L. ( Callitrichaceae ).

Note: Although not technically a superfluous name, C. androgyna appears to have been intended to replace C. palustris var. minima L. (1753) (equivalent to the autonymic variety) so Lansdown & Jarvis typified C. androgyna so as to make it homotypic with C. palustris L. (1753) .
