Simulium ( Simulium) hirtinervis Edwards, 1928: 63 View in CoL –64 (Female): Takaoka and Davies, 1995: 115 –120 (Female, male, pupa and larva).
Distribution. Peninsular Malaysia and Vietnam ( Ha Tay and Hoa Binh).
Remarks. This species was originally described from Peninsular Malaysia based on females by Edwards (1928) and later its female was redescribed and its male, pupa and larva were described by Takaoka and Davies (1995). This species was recorded from Vietnam by Pham (1998).
