Note.

A replacement name, Garcinia ngouniensis , is created here for Allanblackia gabonensis , because the epithet Garcinia gabonensis was used previously in Garcinia for a different species. The epithet Garcinia ngouniensis is in reference to Gabon’s Ngounié province, an area where many specimens of this species have been collected.
