Notes.
Pleurophragmium subfusiforme is readily distinguished from other species of the genus by its large (21–38 × 5.8–9.2 µm), fusiform conidia, which are 3–7 - septate and sometimes slightly constricted at the septa. The conidia are subhyaline, becoming pale fuscous in mass ( Matsushima 1975).
