Cipangopaludina Hannibal, 1912 View in CoL

Examined species: Cipangopaludina chinensis (Gray, 1834) ;

C. nagaensis (Preston, 1914) n. comb.; C. crassibuca (Sarasin & Sarasin, 1898) .

Remarks: The Cipangopaludina species examined have a similar operculum, which can be distinguished from the other genera with a concentric inverted-comma-shaped operculum by the following combination of characters: regular growth lamellae on the exterior surface, a relatively small inner operculum region and a large nuclear region with a sandpaper-like layer (sometimes partly absent).
