Neotype (Renvoize in Cafferty & al. in Taxon 49: 244. 2000): Sri Lanka. Sabaragamuwa Province, Ratnagsura District, 22 Oct 1974, Davidse 7871 (K; iso- MO).

Current name: Sacciolepis indica (L.) Chase View in CoL ( Poaceae ).

Note: A later homonym of P. indicum Mill. (1768) and hence illegitimate. See also P. conglomeratum L. (1771) .
