Macrobiotus subintermedius Ramazzotti, 1962

In the original description of the species ( Ramazzotti 1962), the peribuccal lamellae were not cited and they were not visible in the syntype. The characters 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10 are visible in the syntype. In the specimen examined (lateral position), the stylet support insertion point has a pt = 60.1 (character 5), the ventral lamina a pt = 48.0 (character 6) and the macroplacoid row a pt = 31.9 (character 7).

On dorsal and ventral cuticle, scarce and small pores of circular or elliptical shapes are present (not cited in the original description) and seemingly not organized in bands ( Figs. 2, 3 ). The presence or absence of granulation on the legs is not detectable. The egg processes, other than regularly conical (as originally described), can have conical base surmounted by a thin spike ( Fig. 4 ).
