Diagnosis. Female. Head wider than long, mouth-cone with 3-segmented maxillary palpi. Compound eyes with 4–6 pigmented facets ventrally. Ocellar setae I and II absent; 5 pairs of postocular setae present. Antennae 8- segmented, segment I without dorso-apical setae, sense cone on antennal segment III simple or forked, IV with forked sense cone. Pronotum with discal setae strong, posteromarginal long or short, 0–2 pairs of posteroangular setae. Prosternal ferna undivided. Meso- and metanotum sculptured with reticles, CPS present. Mesosternal furca with spinula, sometimes spinula weak, metasternal furca absent. Fore wing first vein setae discontinuous, second vein setae scattered; posteromarginal cilia wavy; clavus with 4–5 veinal setae and 1 discal seta. Abdominal tergites without ctenidia but with narrowly lobate craspeda; tergite VIII with complete posteromarginal comb; tergite IX with two pairs of CPS. Sternite VIII with all three pairs of setae situated in front of posterior margin. Male. Similar to female, abdominal tergite VIII with posteromarginal comb of long setae, sternites V–VII each with a small transverse pore plate, all setae on VIII situated in front of posterior margin.
