2) Family † Zeugmatolepadidae nov.

Calanticinae Zevina, 1981:48 (in part)

Calanticinae Buckeridge, 1983:28 (in part)

Calanticinae Zevina, 1981 (Zullo & Perrault 1991:268, in part).

Zeugmatolepadidae Newman, 1996:501 , nom. nud. (U. Juras. – Paleo.) Definition (amend.): Capitulum of 34 or more plates including a scutum (S) with subapical umbo and several whorls of latera. Uppermost latera (RL L 1 CL) are situated well up onto the upper whorl of plates, the carinolatus (CL) reaching midway up the side of the carina (RL = rostrolatus, L 1 = first capitular latus, cf. Newman & Ross 1998). Includes † Eskimolepas Rosenkrantz, 1970 , † Tetrinus, Wirt, 1992 , and the type † Zeugmatolepas Withers, 1913:938 ( Fig. 1D View FIGURE 1 herein).

The subfamily Neolepadinae Newman, 1996 nom. nud., was assigned to the family Eolepadidae Buckeridge, 1983 and the only included genus was the hydrotermal vent barnacle, Neolepas Newman, 1979 . Since 1996 not only have new neolepadine genera and species been proposed, but the subfamily has been split into two tribes ( Yamaguchi, Newman & Hashimoto (2004:112). Therefore the situation created by the subfamily being nomen nudum appears a little more complicated than it was for the previous two families. However, since Yamaguchi et al. (2004) filled the conditions of Art. 13.1.1 when they proposed the new tribes Neolepadini Yamaguchi, Newman & Hashimoto, 2004 and Ashinkailepadini Yamaguchi, Newman & Hashimoto, 2004, these names are valid. Therefore, in accordance with Art. 36.1 ( Principle of Coordination relevant to familygroup names), the subfamily Neolepadinae Newman, 1996 can be attributed to them, whereby the classification of Eolepadidae is as follows:
