Zeugopterus regius View in CoL MNHN-IC-1898-0962 (2 specimens 111 mm and 92 mm). All of these are preserved in ethanol and were collected in the western Mediterranean Sea near the French seashore (Nice, 43°25’1.2”N; 3°43’1.2”E). Preserved specimens have been examined using a Stereomicroscope Olympus SZX7 with a MC170 Leica camera, driven by the software LAS GoogleMaps .
Eckström’s topknots have been also observed and photographed by divers in Italian and Slovenian waters (Adriatic Sea), French waters (western Mediterranean Sea and Eastern Atlantic Ocean (seashore of Brittany)), Irish waters (Ulster, Northern Ireland, UK) and Scottish waters (sealochs, UK). The estimated Standard Length of photographed specimens is around 10 cm.
