Hypnoidus tilloae Stibick, 1980: 264 (original description; published type locality: Rapti); Dolin & Cate, 2001: 128 (re-examined Holotype; “Nush(?)”); Cate, 2007: 155 (catalogue; “UP” as India: Uttaranchal, Uttar Pradesh or “Rapti River”); Gupta et al., 2018: 501 (catalogue; “2B” as India: Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand); Platia & Sechi, 2022: 380 (checklist; “Rapti River (India-Nepal)”).

Type Depository. Holotype, F ( NHML).

General Distribution. Rapti River*.

Remark. Known only from a single female specimen. The species was described from a vague locality, which could refer to any area around the Rapti River, encompassing parts of Nepal and the northern states of India. Until additional material becomes available to confirm its presence, this species is not considered to occur in India.
