Hypnoidus parallelus Schwarz, 1902: 332 (original description; published type locality: Darjeeling, India); Schwarz, 1906: 154 (catalogue; India: “Darjeeling”); Schenkling, 1925: 210 (placed under subgenus Zorochrus , unavailable genus name, incorrect subsequent spelling of Zorochros not in prevailing usage- ICZN 1999: Art. 33.3; catalogue; India: “Darjeeling”).

Yukoana parallelus ( Schwarz, 1902) : Ȏhira & Becker, 1973: 73 (transferred from Hypnoidus View in CoL ).

Quasimus (Quasimus) parallelus ( Schwarz, 1902) : Dolin, 2001: 141 (transferred to Quasimus (Quasimus) ; key to Quasimus spp. ); Cate, 2007: 191 (catalogue; “SD” as India: Sikkim, Darjeeling District); Gupta et al., 2018: 502 (catalogue; “2C” as India: Sikkim, Darjeeling District).

Type Locality. India: Darjeeling District , West Bengal .

Type Depository. Holotype, SU (??).

Distribution in India. West Bengal (Darjeeling District).

General Distribution. China, India, Myanmar, Nepal ( Cate 2007; Schimmel & Tarnawski 2009, 2011a).

Remark. The original description is based on a single specimen ( Schwarz, 1902: 333), which is not present in SDEI (see Gaedike, 1985). As the presence of this species in Sikkim requires confirmation, this locality is not included here.

Quasimus sausai Dolin, 2001: 122 (original description; published type locality: Shillong Peak, India; other localities: Sikkim, West Bengal); Korneev & Cate, 2005: 23 (type catalogue); Cate, 2007: 191 (listed under subgenus Quasimus ; catalogue; “SD” as India: Sikkim, Darjeeling District); Gupta et al., 2018: 502 (listed under subgenus Quasimus ; catalogue; “2C” as India: Sikkim, Darjeeling District).

Wittmeroquasimus sausai (Dolin, 2001) : Schimmel & Tarnawski, 2009: 122 (transferred from Quasimus View in CoL ; catalogue; “ India: Meghalaya; Darjeeling; Sikkim ”) .

Type Locality. India: Shillong Peak, East Khasi Hills District , Meghalaya .

Type Depository. Holotype, M ( CSB); 60 Paratypes: 41 M, 19 F ( CCW, CSB, NHMB, SIZK).

Material examined. Five specimens were examined from East Khasi Hills District , Meghalaya ( FRID) ; two specimens from the same locality ( GKVK) .

Distribution in India. Meghalaya (East Khasi Hills District, West Jaintia Hills District), Sikkim (Gyalshing District), West Bengal (Darjeeling District).

General Distribution. India, Nepal ( Schimmel & Tarnawski 2009).

Wittmeroquasimus sikkimensis Schimmel & Tarnawski, 2011a: 459 (original description; published type locality: Melli, India); Gupta et al., 2018: 502 (catalogue; “2C” as India: Sikkim, Darjeeling District).

Type Locality. India: Melli, Namchi District , Sikkim .

Type Depository. Holotype, F ( CSV).

Distribution in India. Sikkim (Namchi District).

General Distribution. India.

Remark. As the presence of this species in West Bengal requires confirmation, this locality is not included here. The species is considered endemic to India.
