Ctenicera subnivosus Vats & Chauhan, 1992: 31 (original description; type locality: Khoksar, India); Cate, 2007: 182 (marked as species incertae sedis; catalogue; “HP” as India: Himachal Pradesh); Gupta et al., 2018: 503 (catalogue; “2A” as India: Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir).
Hypnoidus subnivosus ( Vats & Chauhan, 1992) : Platia & Sechi, 2022: 380 (transferred to Hypnoidus View in CoL ; checklist; “ India: Himachal Pradesh ”).
Type Locality. India: Khoksar, Lahaul and Spiti District , Himachal Pradesh .
Type Depository. Holotype, F (??); 1 Paratype, 1 F (??).
Distribution in India. Himachal Pradesh (Lahaul and Spiti District).
General Distribution. India.
Remark. The type material is not present in FRID and may be deposited in IARI, but this could not be verified. As the presence of this species in Jammu & Kashmir requires confirmation, this locality is not included here. The species is considered endemic to India.
