Cardiohypnus brancucci Dolin, 1992: 218 (original description; published type locality: Gangani, India; another locality- India: Himachal Pradesh); Korneev & Cate, 2005: 13 ( type catalogue); Cate, 2007: 187 (catalogue; “UP” as India: Uttaranchal, Uttar Pradesh); Gupta et al., 2018: 502 (catalogue; “2B” as India: Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand).

Type Locality. India: Gangnani, Uttarkashi District , Uttarakhand [Gangani, Uttar Pradesh] .

Type Depository. Holotype, M ( NHMB); 3 Paratypes, 3 M ( MNHN, SIZK).

Distribution in India. Himachal Pradesh (Kullu District), Uttarakhand (Garhwal Division, Uttarkashi District).

General Distribution. India, Nepal ( Cate 2007).

Remark. Known only from the male specimens. As the presence of this species in Uttar Pradesh requires confirmation, this locality is not included here.
