Artbeschreibung: 15-40 cm hoch. Stängel glatt. Blätter 3-4 mm breit, meist etwa halb so lang wie der Stängel. Blütenstand 2-4 cm lang, aufrecht oder nickend, mit 3-5 zylindrischen, 1-2 cm langen und 0,5-2 cm lang gestielten Ähren. Fruchtschläuche gelbbraun, ca. 4 mm lang.
