Types. Lectotype ♂ (here designated): “Окр. Минусинска 17.V 1917 Кожанчиковъ [ Outskirts of Minusinsk 17.V 1917 Kozhantschikov ]”, “ Epiblema elongata Fil. ♂ Type ”, “ Cotypus Semasia elongata Fil. ”, “Lectotypus Semasia elongata Filipjev, 1924 ”, “ ZISP INS _LEP_0001593”, “Praep. micr. SVN 24233 Eucosma lignana (Snellen, 1883) S. Nedoshivina pr. 2024”.

Paralectotypes 2 ♂: “Окр. Минусинска 20.V 1917 Кожанчиковъ [ Outskirts of Minusinsk 17.V 1917 Kozhantschikov ]”, “ Epiblema elongata Fil. ♂ Type ”, “ Cotypus Semasia elongata Fil. .

Present status. Eucosma lignana (Snellen, 1883) .

Comments. In the original description, on page 24 (in Russian), the author noted that the type specimens were collected on 30.V and 2.VI. However, in the same publication on page 38, the author translated the description of elongata into German, where the collecting dates were given as 17.V and 20.V. In the ZISP collection, there are only three specimens of elongata designated as types by Filipjev, with the collecting dates 17.V and 20.V. Therefore, it can be assumed that the dates 30.V and 2.VI were provided erroneously. In Gilligan et al. (2018), the type locality was imprecisely listed as “Siberia.”

Taxonomic notes. The synonymy was likely established by Kuznetzov (e.g., 1978), but the syntypes were not dissected. My examination of the type material confirms this synonymy, and the genitalia of the male lectotype are illustrated here for the first time.
