Description and diagnosis. See Ono and Hayashi (2009) for a recent redescription and diagnosis of both sexes.

Distribution. China ( Fujian, Guangdong, Guizhou, Hainan, Hubei, Hunan, Inner Mongolia, Jiangsu, Jilin, Shaanxi, Shandong, Sichuan, Taiwan, Zhejiang), Korea, Japan, Russia and Thailand.

Comments. The type material of Cheiracanthium escaladae , described from the female, and Clubiona qianhuayuani , described from the male only, were examined. Each of these sexes is consistent with the genitalic morphology of C. corrugata , a common and widespread species in eastern Asia with many taxonomic citations ( World Spider Catalog 2023). Therefore, we consider both species to be junior synonyms of C. corrugata .
