COMMON NAME(S): Triangles or Semilooper moth.
SYNONYM(S): Ophiusa anfractuosa Boisduval, 1833 ; Noctua deliana Stoll, 1790 ; Trigonodes acutata Guenée, 1852 ; Trigonodes compar Walker, 1858c ; Trigonodes inacuta Guenée, 1852c .

DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Australia, Botswana, Cameroon, Cabo Verde, China, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, India, Java, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Philippines, Republic of Congo, Réunion, Rwanda, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Sumatra, Taiwan, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Kafue ** and University of Zambia Campus ** in Lusaka, both localities in Lusaka Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include two Fabaceae species Indigofera sp. and Medicago sativa L. ( African Moths 2019).
The wasp Enicospilus rufus (Brullé) (Ichneumonidae) is a parasitoid of the taxon.
