Remarks. Here, Scabrotettix biolleyi is synonymized under Otumba scapularis Morse, 1900 . The type specimens of both species are females, and no differences are found that allow the two species to be kept as distinct entities, maintaining similarity in the characters of the head, pronotum, and terminalia. Additionally, Scabrotettix biolleyi is the only species of Scabrotettix that is distributed in Central America ( Costa Rica), near the type locality of O. scapularis .
