Type locality. Austria (“Habitat in Austria Mus. Dom. Schieffermyller”).
Material examined. None.
Identity. Periclepsis cinctana ( Denis and Schiffermüller, 1775) View in CoL ( Tortricinae , Archipini ).
Remarks. It is uncertain exactly what Fabricius’ intention was with respect to this taxon, similar to ceretana (see above). The name may have been an emmendation or an incorrect spelling of “ Phalaena cretaria ” ( Denis and Schiffermüller, 1775: 129.3). There is, however, no cretaria D. and S. there, only Tortrix cinctana Denis and Schiffermüller.
