Description – SL: 28–48. Spire of moderate height, outline straight. Spiral whorls smooth. Shoulder broad, rounded. Body whorl ventricosely conical, outline convex, smooth with grooves at the base. Subsutural flexure slightly curved, oblique.
Remarks – In this paper we follow the classification that was proposed by LANDAU et al. (2013) for the berghausi -group, so Dendroconus steindachneri is placed within genus Kalloconus herein. The species shows moderate variability in width of the shoulder. It is closely allied to K. berghausi but differs in more elevated and straight spire.
Distribution – Middle Miocene: Paratethys ( Austria, Bosnia,? Croatia, Hungary, Romania,? Slovenia).
