Barros (1924, 1926) mentioned this species from S. Martinho de Anta. Seabra (1942) reported it from Coimbra (Beira Litoral), V.1983, Povolide (Beira Alta) I.1983 and Vizela (Minho), IX.1980. Boieiro et al. (1999) reported this species from Serra de Monchique and Serra da Arrábida. Assing (2006) reported this species from Lisbon and Algarve. Gamarra & Outerelo (2020) reported this species from Minho, Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, Beira Alta, Beira Litoral, Estremadura and Algarve. Ferreira (2021a) records this species from Monte Córdova, 6 ex.

New data: Minho, Braga, Vieira do Minho, Serra do Gerês , 2/10/1969, 4 ex., leg. R . N. Ferreira ( cRNF). Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro , Vila Real, Sabrosa, S. Martinho de Anta , 7/09/1969, 1 ex., leg. R . N. Ferreira ( cRNF). Beira Litoral , Coimbra, Coimbra, Choupal , 4/06/1962, 1 ex., leg. R .N. Ferreira (cRNF).

Distribution: Widespread in Europe, and also known from North Africa and Madeira and Canary Islands (Sch̡lke & Smetana, 2015).

Barros (1926) recorded this species from Pena Maior. Assing (2006) reported this species from Serra de S. Mamede, Marvão and Castelo Branco (Manteigas). Gamarra & Outerelo (2020) reported this species from Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, Douro Litoral and Alto Alentejo. Ferreira (2021a) refers 1 ex. with the № 40 with 3 Ants.

Note: Manteigas is actually part of the district of Guarda (Beira Alta).

Distribution: Widespread in Europe (Sch̡lke & Smetana, 2015).
