Fauvel (1877) recorded from Portimão and Mafra. Quedenfeldt (1884) refer to var. striatopunctatum Kies. a record from BuÇaco (Beira Litoral). Oliveira (1893) refers this species from “DAns tout le PortugAl ”. Scheerpeltz (1960) reported it from Beira, São João do Campo, 3.VI.59 (3 ♂♂, 1 ♀), 7.VI.59, (1 ♂, 4 ♀♀) and Alemtejo, Cuba, 9.VI.59, (3 ♂♂, 1 ♀). Also Scheerpeltz (1960) como var. pyrenaicum Fauvel from Serra da Estrela, Penhas da Sȧde (Beira Alta). Ferreira (1971), from P. de Horta (Beira Litoral). Ferreira (2021a) reported 3 ex. from Penamaior, 6 ex. without locality and 5 ex. with the № 38.

Distribution: Known from France, Italy, Portugal and Spain, and also known from the Canary Islands and some countries in North Africa (Sch̡lke & Smetana, 2015; Gamarra & Outerelo, 2020).
