New data: Beira Litoral, Aveiro, Mealhada , BuÇaco, 12/06/1966, 2 ex., leg. R . N. Ferreira ( cRNF). Alto Alentejo , Évora, Évora, public garden, 4/11/1963, 1 ex., leg. R . N. Ferreira ( cRNF) .

Distribution: Only known in Europe from Spain, but also found in the north of Africa ( Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia (Sch̡lke & Smetana, 2015). First record from Portugal.

Assing (2005) recorded this species from Baixo Alentejo, Beja, Alvito, 12/1997, 3 ex., leg. Poot (cAss and cWun); Alvito , 22-31/11/1997, 1 ex., leg. Poot (cWun). Gamarra & Outerelo (2020) reported it from Baixo Alentejo .

Distribution: Only known from Portugal and Spain (Sch̡lke & Smetana, 2015).

Gridelli (1926) described this species from Algarve, Portimão. Drugmand & Outerelo (1997) and Gama et al. (2000) recorded this species also from the same locality. Assing (2005) examined material from Portimão too, 1 ♂ (Holotype) and 1 ex. with red pronotum from Algarve, E Lagos, 12/1997, leg. Reuter (cAss). Gamarra & Outerelo (2020) reported it from Algarve.

Distribution: Only known from Portugal and Spain (Sch̡lke & Smetana, 2015).
