Parecida a la var. brachypetalum . Se diferencia por presentar el tallo más ramificado y algo más robusto, con pubescencia de mayor longitud, tanto en el tallo y las hojas como en los sépalos, siendo frecuentes, sobre todo en el tallo, los pelos de 1,5-3 mm; pelos siempre patentes, glandulares y eglandulares mezclados. Sépalos 5-6 mm. 2 n = 72*, 76*, c. 78*; n = 38*, c. 39*.
Pastos secos, en substrato calizo; 100-1400 m. V-VI. Circunmediterránea. Mallorca, ocasional. Esp.: PM[Mll].
