Holotype male in UNCB.

Type locality: Cunday, 4°00’33.5” N 74°44’21.5” W, 470 m, Tolima Department, Colombia.

Distribution: Colombia: Tolima Department: known only from type locality. Biology: Davis & Gonzalez, 2008 (in nests of Melipona fuscipes Friese ).

Note: This species was not originally assigned to subgenus, but we understand that the authors intended to assign it to the subgenus Scotocryptus , and it fits the diagnostic characters of this subgenus.
