158. Ficus maroma Castellanos. Lilloa View in CoL 10: 484. 1944. TYPE:— ARGENTINA. Salta: Orán, Quebrada de Yariguarenda, Las Piletas cerca de Tortugal, 27 June 1944, A. Castellanos s.n. (lectotype, designated here: LIL–110288 [digital image!]).

Nomenclatural notes:— Castellanos (1944) described this taxon without designating a holotype but citing the following syntypes under “material estudiado”: Salta: Castellanos s.n. ( LIL110288 About LIL ), Schulz s.n. ( LIL108035 About LIL ), Rojas s.n. ( LIL108031 About LIL ), Bertoni s.n. ( LIL110310 About LIL ), ipse ( LIL110309 About LIL ), Willink s.n. ( LIL110286 About LIL ), ipse ( LIL110287 About LIL ), Schulz s.n. ( LIL99852 About LIL ), Meyer s.n. ( LIL93102 About LIL ), Hauman s.n. ( BA22661 ) ; Jujuy: Venturi s.n. ( LIL7195 About LIL ). Berg & Villavicencio (2004) cited Castellanos s.n. in LL as the holotype ; however, this indication is inaccurate, since there is no holotype but syntypes, thus a lectotype is needed. We designate LIL110288 About LIL as the lectotype because it represents the most complete and diagnostic specimen .
