Material: SYNTYPES, 22 w (CASENT0917199), 5 g (CASENT0917200) (Box 37).

Note. Karawajew (1927) gave the collection number 2505 to the type series of this species, which corresponds to 21 workers and 5 gynes from the collection. However, one worker from the collection has the number 2479, as well as the original Karawajew label “ Polyrhachis / (Myrmhopla) / keratifera / Karavaiev typus”. We cannot explain this discrepancy, but since this specimen is fully consistent with other syntype workers, and based on Recommendation 72B of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN 1999), we conclude this specimen belongs to the type series.
