Currently, Chrysis antennata is known only from Eritrea. The records from Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and Tanzania ( KIMSEY & BOHART 1991: 337), which are not mentioned in KIMSEY & BOHART (1991: 384), require confirmation ( MADL & ROSA 2012: 18).
