General distribution: Asiatropical. South and Central Europe,Algeria, Middle East, Iran, North India. Invasive pest in the US and Brazil ( Zawadneak et al. 2016). Distribution in Israel: All over Mediterranean part.

Period of flight in Israel: March–July and September–November.

Host plants: Broadly polyphagous. Severe pest of ornamentals.
