Records: Freiherrn von Kalchberg (1897); Amsel (1933); Palmoni (1969).

General distribution: PontoMediterranean. South and Central Europe, Ukraine, southern European Russia, Turkey and Middle East. Occurs sporadically as far north as southern England.

Distribution in Israel: All over Mediterranean part. Period of flight in Israel: October–November.

Host plants: Various Poaceae species, especially Dactylis sp.
